Details of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Marseille medical revealed | OneFootball

Olympique de Marseille fans will have to wait a little longer for the return of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (36). The forward was scheduled to attend his medical and sign his contract with the club on the 22nd of July. However, this was delayed for undisclosed reasons.

Aubameyang is expected to sign a two-year contract with Les Phocéens, only a year after he left for Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah. The striker recently became a free agent after agreeing to terminate his contract in the Gulf State a year before its end.

Similarly, the Gabonese international only spent one season in Marseille, but he became a fan favourite during the 2023/24 campaign, helping the club to the UEFA Europa League semi-final, where they were eliminated by eventual champions Atalanta BC.

According to a report from Marc Mechenoua, a new date has been scheduled for the former Arsenal and Chelsea forward. Aubameyang will arrive in Marseille on Wednesday, the 30th of July, before undergoing his medical the following day.
