Devenny double and Bocat assists propel Stoke to 10th | OneFootball

Stoke City beat Charlton Athletic 4-0 at home, climbing from 22nd to 10th in the Championship as Justin Devenny struck twice and Dan McNamara saw red early in the second half.

Devenny converted from the spot in the 15th minute after Ben Wilmot was fouled by Timothy Ouma.

Ethan Galbraith drilled in from distance (22.), then George Hirst glanced in Eric Junior Bocat's cross (25.).

Karlan Grant was denied by Viktor Johansson (38.) and Tyler Bindon's header was saved (40.) before Devenny tapped in Bocat's cut-back for his second (40.).

After the restart, Dan McNamara received a second yellow and was sent off in the 50th minute, leaving the visitors with 10 men.

Stoke finished with 62.5% possession and eight efforts on target from 17 attempts. Charlton mustered three shots on target from 13 attempts.
