Bayern Munich are through to the DFB-Pokal round of 16 and will find out their opponents for the next round of the competition this weekend.

A hat-trick from Jamal Musiala helped Bayern Munich cruise to a 4-0 win against Mainz 05 in the second round of the DFB-Pokal. Vincent Kompany's side can now look forward to the round of 16, and their next opponents in the competition will be revealed when the draw takes place on Sunday, .

As always, there were a few shocks in the DFB-Pokal this week. Borussia Dortmund were eliminated by VfL Wolfsburg, while Union Berlin were handed a shock defeat by 3. Liga side Arminia Bielefeld. There was also defeat for FC Heidenheim against Hertha Berlin.

The DFB-Pokal round of 16 matches will take place on December 3-4, 2024 and among the teams Bayern Munich could face in the next round are holders Bayer Leverkusen, the in-form RB Leipzig, and last season's Bundesliga runners-up VfB Stuttgart.

Here are all the teams that have qualified for the DFB-Pokal last 16

Bundesliga: Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Augsburg, VfL Wolfsburg, SC Freiburg, Werder Bremen, TSG Hoffenheim

2. Bundesliga: FC Köln, Hertha Berlin, SV Darmstadt, SSV Jahn Regensburg, Karlsruher SC

3. Liga: Arminia Bielefeld

Bayern Munich will be determined to win the DFB-Pokal this year, having not won the competition since 2020. The Bavarians were eliminated in the second round last season by 3. Liga side FC Saarbrücken. The final of the 2024/25 DFB-Pokal will take place at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on May 24, 2025.
