Serie A legend Antonio Di Natale says that Juventus’s Kenan Yildiz is ‘the best player’ in Serie A, and has revealed which Italy international he feels is the most ‘underrated’ in 2025-26.

The former Udinese and Empoli striker spoke in-depth to Tuttosport in an interview published on Wednesday, during which he discussed his favourite Serie A players, the favourites for the 2025-26 Scudetto and the issues currently facing Juventus head coach Igor Tudor.

Di Natale: Yildiz ‘the best player in Serie A, Politano has always been underrated’

Di Natale is full of praise for Juventus talent Kenan Yildiz, despite recent complaints of fatigue.

“Playing every three days isn’t easy. But he’s the best player in Serie A, the one with the best future ahead of him,” Di Natale said while discussing Yildiz’s current ability and potential.

“We’re talking about a classic no.10: He won’t score more than 15 goals a season, but he knows how to light up games. He’s strong, I like him a lot.

“We have to remember that he’s only 20 years old. How many players in Europe make plays like he does at that age?”

Di Natale was asked if he sees himself in Yildiz: “No, but only because he scores fewer goals than me,” he joked.

“But (Vincenzo) Montella always tells me how impressed he is with Kenan in training. I believe him. Vincenzo knows how to recognise talent. But, I always hope to fall in love with some Italian gems.”

Di Natale was asked which other players in Serie A get him excited at the moment.

He replied: “Modric at Milan is a spectacle. He’s 40 years old, he plays a key role: There are no others in the world like him.

“Soule is also coming on a lot, but among the Italians, I look at (Matteo) Politano: He’s always been underrated at Napoli, Conte is turning him into one of the best wingers in Europe.”
