Moussa Diaby’s move back to Bayer Leverkusen remains on course, but negotiations over a severance package with Al-Ittihad are not yet resolved.
According to Kicker, the winger has agreed terms with his former club despite links to AC Milan, and the fee is expected to be under €30 million.
The 27-year-old former France international is under contract with the Saudi Pro League side until 2029. He joined Al-Ittihad from Aston Villa for €60 million a couple of summers ago.
Diaby previously hit 49 goals in 172 appearances for Leverkusen before a €55 million switch to the Premier League in 2023.
He featured in Al-Ittihad’s first competitive match of the season yesterday, assisting a goal in a 4-1 win over UAE’s Al-Jazira Club in the Asian Champions League preliminary qualifiers.
