It is likely that Jamie Vardy was just a bit fed up with the never changing and negative situation at Leicester City Football Club. Of course, the striker is ageing rapidly, like us all. He may have even been pressured to exit King Power Stadium by someone unnamed in his immediate family too. Who knows! One former Leicester centre forward suggested that Vardy needs to keep earning due to other demands. But we'll have more on that story later today (Friday).

There is also a rather large chance that, after 13 long and generally massively successful years with the Foxes, Vardy just wanted a change or scenery. However, another factor on Filbert Way might have made the decision easier for the ex-England international. A claim is doing the rounds about Vardy clashing with an executive at LCFC. Vardy didn't mention Rudkin in his farewell speech. Adding fuel to already existing rumours. The Foxes star wasn't offered a new contract, and I wonder if Rudkin was involved.
