Diego Coppola to join Paris FC on six-month loan from Brighton

Diego Coppola, 22, is joining Paris FC on a six-month loan from Brighton, running to the end of the season.

According to L'Équipe, the Italian defender will complete Paris FC’s winter business, which already includes Luca Koleosho and Marshall Munetsi.

His arrival addresses a shortage at centre-back after Samir Chergui suffered an adductor injury at the Africa Cup of Nations, leaving him out until at least the end of February.

With a successful switch to a back five since the start of the year, head coach Stéphane Gilli required another central defender.

The club remain in the market for a striker and still hope to add a goalscorer before the window closes on two February.
