Diego López trained with the group as Valencia returned to work at Paterna and he could make the squad to face Osasuna on Sunday, when they need a win to pull clear of the drop zone.

According to AS, he trained normally after missing the last two games, Levante and Villarreal, with a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee suffered on 17 February before the derby at the Ciutat de Valencia. He has three further sessions to confirm his progress and be included if Carlos Corberán wants him.

Lucas Beltrán remains on his own programme because of knee discomfort and his involvement on Sunday is uncertain, although not ruled out. He has worked alone all week and did not travel to Villarreal on Sunday. He has become indispensable for Corberán, who used Javi Guerra behind the striker at La Cerámica.

Renzo Saravia was the standout new face in the session.

Julen Agirrezabala will not be available. He is in the final phase of recovery from a left hamstring tear sustained in early January and has been out since. He is working with the readaptation staff and could gradually rejoin the group next week.
