Atlético Madrid have no plans to sell Julian Alvarez, Diego Simeone reiterated on Saturday.

According to L'Équipe, the head coach set out the position a day before a friendly against Manchester City in Seoul, South Korea.

The club are delighted to have the Argentina forward and intend to help him continue to develop and give his best after two years in Madrid.

Atlético have kept a firm line throughout the window amid attempts from Barcelona and Real Madrid to sign him. Alvarez was a 2026 World Cup runner-up.

A €100 million bid has been turned down and there is no intention to accept €150 million or €200 million. His release clause stands at €500 million.
