Digne Gets 8.5, Rogers With 8 | Aston Villa Players Rated In Dominant Win Vs Bologna

Aston Villa welcomed Bologna at Villa Park earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Europa League. The Villans made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 16th minute when Ollie Watkins found the back of the net. Emi Buendia doubled his team’s advantage just ten minutes later. Morgan Rogers got his name on the scoresheet as well in the 39th minute as Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break 3-0 up on the scoreline.
Ezri Konsa scored the West Midlands club’s fourth goal in the 89th minute. Aston Villa ended up securing a dominant 4-0 win at Villa Park.

GK: Emiliano Martinez – 7/10
Martinez made a few solid saves at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet.
RB: Matty Cash – 7/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles at the back but offered very little in the final third.

Konsa cleared his lines when needed and won a couple of aerial duels. He managed to score in the 89th minute.

He put his foot through the ball when needed and was tidy with his passing.

LB: Lucas Digne – 8.5/10
Digne was a positive influence at both ends of the field and ended the game with an assist to his name.
RM: John McGinn – 7.5/10
He caught the eye at times on both ends of the field.
CM: Amadou Onana – 7.5/10
Onana anchored the midfield well and was good on the ball.
CM: Youri Tielemans – 7/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.

Buendia caught the eye at times on both halves and found the back of the net in the 26th minute.
