Dimarco dazzles as Inter go +13, Roma v Juve billed as play-off | OneFootball

Inter moved 13 points clear with a 2-0 win over Genoa, their eighth successive league victory. Federico Dimarco struck superbly and Hakan Calhanoglu scored a penalty, with the derby on Sunday.

According to Football Italia, Corriere dello Sport billed Roma v Juventus at 19.45 as a play-off for Champions League places. The paper added Juventus have taken one point from their past three matches.

Corriere dello Sport reported Napoli won 2-1 in Verona, Rasmus Hojlund put them ahead, Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro levelled, then Romelu Lukaku struck in the 96th minute. It said Lukaku was in tears after the death of his father and it was his first goal in 281 days.

La Gazzetta dello Sport flagged Milan’s 11.30 trip to Cremonese with Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic, before the derby. Tuttosport said Torino host Lazio at 17.00 with a sparse crowd.

Gazzetta and Corriere detailed VAR protocol changes, with IFAB to allow checks on corners and second yellows from the World Cup. Pierluigi Collina said the tweaks would make the game fairer and an Inter v Juventus flashpoint could have been settled in seconds.
