After the 2-1 defeat by Cruzeiro at Neo Química Arena in the 23rd round, Fernando Diniz said he feels renewed hope that Corinthians can agree a new deal with Memphis.

Talks have resumed after president Osmar Stabile reversed an earlier refusal. The proposed terms are expected to remain close to those recently discussed, while Memphis, despite wanting to stay at Parque São Jorge, is unwilling to lower his demands further. Corinthians now turn to Thursday 20, when they host Rosario Central in the Libertadores last 16 second leg at 21:30.
