Dino Toppmöller set to be sacked by Lens after four Ligue 1 matches

According to L'Équipe, RC Lens are set to dismiss Dino Toppmöller after only four Ligue 1 games, and the 45-year-old will not be on the bench away to Monaco on Friday at 20:45.

Toppmöller arrived this summer and, despite the brief tenure, oversaw a Champions League win and a Trophée des champions success.

Yannick Cahuzac, Toppmöller’s assistant since the start of the season, could be handed the reins and has long been viewed as a potential number one at the club.

On a temporary basis, he is expected to lead the side in the principality alongside Bilal Hamdi.

The move would come barely a month into the campaign.
