Diogo Costa described the FC Porto session in which Casillas suffered a heart attack on 1 May 2019 as moderate, rating it three out of 10 during court testimony.

According to O Jogo, the day began around 10h00 with 20 to 30 minutes of low-intensity mobility and stretching in the gym, then around 10h30 a roughly 15-minute activation on the pitch with a light run and goalkeeper drills.

He said there were no sprints to his knowledge, keepers rotated through short exercises. He recalled Casillas sitting out awaiting his turn before requesting help, and that he himself was outside the drill.

He added FC Porto, then coached by Sérgio Conceição, typically shifted to tactical emphasis late in the season, with video work brought onto the pitch and minimal physical load.

His account contrasts with cardiologist Luís Seca, who cited a peak-intensity moment as the likely trigger. Casillas wants the 1 May 2019 event recognised as a work accident involving FC Porto and insurer Fidelidade, and is claiming 750.821,91 euros and 1 521 780,82 euros plus further related costs.
