Diop and Gboho strike as Toulouse climb to seventh

Toulouse beat Brest 2-0 on Sunday at Stade Francis-Le Blé to rise from eighth to seventh in Ligue 1.
Pape Diop opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a right-footed strike from outside the box after Mark McKenzie's pass. Yann Gboho doubled the lead with a low finish (43.), teed up by Diop.
Guillaume Restes kept a clean sheet with four saves, shutting the door as Brest chased a way back.
Half-time substitute Pathé Mboup forced Restes into another save from close range (52.). Aron Dønnum later drew a stop from Grégoire Coudert as the visitors threatened on the break (68.).
Diop was withdrawn late on with an injury.
Brest had 54.7% possession and 13 attempts, five on target. Toulouse registered eight attempts with five on target and cleared 41 balls.
