According to O Jogo, the Portuguese Football Federation’s Disciplinary Board has opened proceedings against FC Porto following Monday’s clássico with Sporting.
The case centres on the behaviour of ball boys, who are alleged to have hidden balls and the cones used to hold them in the closing minutes.
These incidents are said to be referenced in the referee’s and match delegates’ reports, as is the alleged disappearance of towels that Rui Silva, Sporting’s goalkeeper, used to dry his gloves.
The board will also analyse the décor of the visiting dressing room and the temperature of the air conditioning.
Those two matters do not appear in the official reports, so any inclusion in the case could only result from a formal complaint.
