Djibril Sidibé joins Le Mans FC on two-year deal with option | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, the 2018 World Cup winner has joined Le Mans FC on a two-year contract with an option for a further season. He had been seeking a new project since his Toulouse departure.

The move comes as a surprise, as he appeared close to extending at Toulouse before new head coach Jens Berthel Askou opposed it. He now begins a fresh chapter with another French club, signing on Monday.

The France right-back has 18 caps, one goal and three assists. This is his fifth Ligue 1 club, following spells with Troyes, Lille, Monaco and Toulouse.

At 34, he brings experience to a young squad, at a club that had been seeking a profile used to the top level.

An important figure over the past two seasons at Toulouse, he made 63 appearances and nearly 4,500 minutes in all competitions.
