Rapper and Atlético-MG diehard Djonga has claimed Bruno Henrique supports the Galo, brandishing an old photo on air.
Atlético-MG explored a move in early 2025, but never lodged a formal offer with the player or Flamengo. He stayed and went on to win the Libertadores and the Brasileirão.
"Bruno Henrique is a mad Galo fan. There is a photo, believe it, I will not lie to you. I will send the image. You know I love you, but I already know he is staying at Mengão," said Djonga, speaking on Charla Podcast.
During the show he stood to display an old picture of Bruno Henrique alongside his brother, both in Atlético-MG shirts. The moment drew laughter, as the forward has never publicly confirmed the allegiance. Djonga has even namechecked him in a song.
His latest deal was made official on 4 May this year without a salary change, and runs to December 2027. By expiry he will be 36 and nine years into his Flamengo stint.
Nicknamed Rei dos Clássicos, the number 27 has 18 trophies, 362 appearances and 114 goals for the rubro-negro.
He previously played for Uberlândia, Itumbiara and Goiás, then Wolfsburg, returned to Brazil in 2017 with Santos, before joining Flamengo on 23 January 2019 for R$ 23 million.
Flamengo start their October run on Thursday 08, visiting Santos at 19:30 Brasília at Vila Belmiro in round 29 after the FIFA break.
