Querétaro, Querétaro – Holding the most demanding stage of the Rojiblanca Preseason away from Guadalajara has become a tradition for Chivas Femenil. The club was a pioneer in this regard, becoming the first women's team to leave its home city to prepare for an upcoming season, a routine it has maintained at least once every year.

This year's preseason, however, has a unique feel for the Rojiblancas. Although traveling away from Guadalajara is nothing new, the conditions under which the team is training have changed dramatically. After seven consecutive years of choosing the beach as its preseason base, Chivas Femenil has opted for a high-altitude training camp for the first time.

The coasts of Colima welcomed the Rojiblancas for many years, with Manzanillo and Isla Navidad becoming the team's home away from home since 2019. Manzanillo hosted Guadalajara during the Clausura 2020, Clausura 2021, Apertura 2021, Apertura 2022, Clausura 2023, Apertura 2023, and Clausura 2024 preseasons, creating a strong bond with both the team and the Rojiblanca Nation.

Later, ahead of the 2024 Summer Cup, the Rebaño Sagrado relocated just 56 kilometers away to Isla Navidad, which served as the club's preseason headquarters for the Apertura 2024 and Apertura 2025 campaigns. Once again, the team received an outstanding welcome from Chivahermanos.

Training at sea level versus 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level has a significant impact on high-performance athletes, particularly regarding aerobic capacity. Add to that the dramatic difference in climate—where temperatures along the coast reached 37°C (99°F) compared to the 26°C (79°F) conditions in Querétaro—and the effect on the players' physical performance becomes substantial.

Now on the eighth day of their preseason camp in Querétaro, Chivas Femenil will complete its final double training session, continuing to work with the commitment and determination necessary to build the foundation for a highly competitive Apertura 2026 Liga MX Femenil campaign.
