Does Leicester need change from Top (Srivaddhanaprabha) to bottom?

Article image:Does Leicester need change from Top (Srivaddhanaprabha) to bottom?

Leicester City are enduring a disastrously arduous and troubling season back in the Premier League. The Foxes are serious and obvious relegation candidates at present. Why so many problems? Summer planning was inadequate. Leicester also switched two arguably unsuitable managers within 2024/25. And sufficient signings were not made reportedly due to further recklessness regarding Profit and Sustainability rules. Pretty much everything that could go wrong has gone wrong this campaign. Mostly seemingly because of poor foresight.

So today we are asking an unpleasant but timely question about the immediate future and status of LCFC. Do Leicester City need change throughout the club? That would be from the top with King Power chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha. Who is coincidentally nicknamed 'Top'. And all the way to the bottom of the organisation, which is the more menial end of the spectrum. In addition to that, are the rest of the outfit including playing and backroom staff fit for purpose on Filbert Way?

Let's get started. I am not of the opinion that LCFC is completely rotten. There are various elements which need sorting, altering or swapping entirely. The squad in general and the director of football would be my first ports of call. Jon Rudkin's time is up at Leicester in my opinion. Unsustainable.

The players are not up to English top flight standard. Better recruitment is required with a larger budget. If Ruud van Nistelrooy takes us down, he may be given a chance to rebuild in the Championship. I'm not sure that's wise either. His staff would probably exit if he did.

I'm sure the people performing the more unskilled jobs at the club are fine. They need better middle management. Though the highest level is rightly being questioned.

But do I think Top should sell up, as a Foxes fan? Not necessarily. If he can make certain improvements and shows willing, he could win supporters around. If appropriate investment isn't made this offseason, I would then recommend he leaves.

However, the Srivaddhanaprabha family remain reverred and widely respected by much of the Blue Army. They oversaw our greatest era!
