Jeremy Doku has been voted Etihad Player of the Month for September.
The Belgian had a fantastic month in Blue, featuring in three wins and one draw in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, to see him receive the fan-voted award.
Pep Guardiola’s side were in fine form across September and Doku proved a key player across what were an impressive run of performances.
Still just 23 years old, the winger has brought maturity, energy and consistency to his performances.
The month began with a fantastic outing in our 3-0 Manchester derby win over United at the Etihad.
Deployed on his favoured left wing, Doku teed up Phil Foden to give City a first-half lead before his next assist set up Erling Haaland for our second of the afternoon.
Doku’s goal involvements extended to the European stage when he scored the second goal in City’s 2-0 win over Napoli in our Champions League opener.
Continuing our winning run on home soil, Doku then assisted Haaland for our fourth goal in City’s 5-1 win over Burnley to complete the month.
Before that, Doku caused Arsenal’s back line a handful of problems during our 1-1 stalemate, often looking to get in behind with his eye-catching pace and dazzling footwork.
Doku was nominated alongside Foden and Haaland, who have both also enjoyed fantastic starts to the campaign themselves, helping City climb to fifth in the Premier League table and eighth in the Champions League standings.
But it was dazzling Doku who takes the plaudits in September.
Congratulations to Jeremy on winning the award!
