Domenico Tedesco sacked by Bologna, Raffaele Palladino takes over | OneFootball

Bologna have sacked Domenico Tedesco and appointed Raffaele Palladino as their new head coach.

The club said in a statement on Wednesday morning that it thanked Tedesco for his professionalism and expertise, and wished him and his staff well. The move followed the 0-1 defeat to Napoli last Sunday.

Appointed in June to replace Vincenzo Italiano, Tedesco leaves with Bologna 16th in Serie A after four matches, having lost three times and taken one point.

Tedesco, 41, has now been dismissed five times as a coach, after Schalke 04 in March 2019, RB Leipzig in September 2022, Belgium in January 2025 and Fenerbahçe last April.

Palladino arrives to inject fresh momentum. The former Monza and Fiorentina manager left Atalanta in June and has signed a contract until June 2029 with the Emilia-Romagna club.
