“Dominated the second half” – Local media react to Chelsea ace’s performance on international duty

Enzo Fernandez has impressed on international duty and he was back at it again on Tuesday night with a brilliant performance against Brazil.
The World Champions thrashed their arch rivals as Fernandez got himself on the scoresheet and provided an assist for Alexis Mac Allister in the 4-1 win.
Fernandez is currently having the best season of his Chelsea career and has captained the team on a number occasions in the absence of Reece James.
The 24-year-old earned praise for his performance against Uruguay last week, and has shown real signs of improvement under Enzo Maresca.
One area he’s improved in is arriving in the box and scoring goals, and he’s got five goals and nine assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.
Fernandez has been a key player for the national side and was named young player of the tournament at the 2022 World Cup.

The midfielder was at his brilliant best again against Brazil and earned high praise from the Argentine media for his performance.
“Enzo Fernandez – 9/10,” TYC Sports wrote.
“Enzo seems to understand everything that’s happening on the pitch and plays accordingly. He started and finished the 2-0 and provided a remarkable assist for Alexis in the third. He dominated the second half.”
It’s clear Fernandez thrives on the international stage and he’s developed into more of a leader this season, with those qualities displayed on several occasions.

Fernandez will return to Chelsea to prepare for the game against Tottenham on April 3rd and the Blues will be hoping the Argentine brings his form from the international back to Stamford Bridge.
The midfielder will have a key role to play over the run-in as Chelsea look to secure Champions League qualification and win the Conference League, which would have been the expectation at the start of the campaign.
