Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been presented with the Premier League ‘Player of the Month’ award for December, following his fine form in a Leeds United shirt.
The striker scored six times during an impressive month for him personally, and for the team, who went unbeaten to end a memorable year of 2025 in style.
Speaking exclusively to LUTV, our number 9 reacted after being presented with the trophy by saying: “Yeah, I'm proud of this one!
“I think obviously it's been a great month, not only for me, but for the team as well with the unbeaten run that we've been on. So obviously for that to be recognised across the league, it's a nice feeling.
“Again, just a proud moment for myself to achieve that, considering the amount of quality and talent that is in the Premier League at the moment.”
With his teammates showing their work hard around him, Calvert-Lewin continued scoring after the New Year, most recently netting against Newcastle United. He said staying consistent in his approach is key to his form.
“I think up until the last week of November, I think I had one goal, now I've got nine,” he reflected.
“So it's been a good few weeks and I think I've not really changed anything in terms of what I've been doing in training or off of the pitch. I've just stayed consistent and just kept working hard, and it's always nice when it pays off.”
