Dominica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines earn home wins

MIAMI – Dominica and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines earned important victories on home soil as the Second Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026 resumed on Wednesday.
The Road to the 2026 continues for Concacaf nations with the final encounters of the Second Round during the June 2025 match window. The group winners and runners-up will progress to the Third and Final Round.
Dominica 3, British Virgin Islands 0
Dominica earned a 3-nil win against the British Virgin Islands in Group E at Windsor Park Stadium in Roseau, Dominica.
Audel Laville opened the scoring in the 29’ with a lobbed finish over the goalkeeper.
Troy Jules extended the lead in the 35’ with a right-footed finish from the edge of the endline.
Laville collected his brace and a third for the hosts in the 75’ with a strike from the right flank.
The victory gives Dominica its first three points, remaining in fourth place in the group, and keeps its qualification hopes alive.
Dominica will conclude its campaign against third place Dominican Republic on Tuesday at Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The British Virgin Islands will host Jamaica on Saturday at A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground in Road Town, British Virgin Islands to conclude its qualification schedule.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 6, Anguilla 0
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines earned a 6-nil victory against Anguilla in Group F at Arnos Vale Stadium in Arnos Vale, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Oalex Anderson struck the opening goal in the 20’ with a finish inside the penalty area.
Cornelius Stewart converted a penalty kick chance in the 25’ to extend the lead for the hosts.
Micah Joseph struck a header to collect the third goal for the Vincy Heat in the 59’, meeting a cross to the far post from Kirtney Franklyn.
After coming off the bench for Joseph, Kyle Edwards added a fourth in the 61’ as Franklyn earned a second assist.
Anderson collected his brace in the 69’ before Franklyn got on the scoresheet himself in the 85’ to close the victory.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines collected its first three points to stay in contention for a top two spot. The Vincy Heat returns travels to face Puerto Rico on Tuesday at Estadio Centroamericano de Mayagüez in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
Anguilla concludes its campaign against El Salvador on Saturday at Raymond E. Guishard Technical Centre in The Valley, Anguilla.
