FC Bayern have made their first personnel decision for the summer: Noel Aseko is returning to Säbener Straße after his loan spell at Hannover 96 – and is set to play a role in the professional squad in the future

As reported by Sky, Munich have activated the buy-back option for the 20-year-old, meaning that Aseko will once again wear the German record champions‘ shirt next season

Financially, it is a very attractive deal for Bayern. Hannover had previously exercised a purchase option worth around one million euros. Munich are now securing their own youngster back for around 2.5 million euros via a buy-back clause

All in all, FCB is investing around 1.5 million euros – with a current market value of around eight million. A deal with significant development potential

The midfielder’s strong performances in the Bundesliga 2 were the decisive factor in the decision to bring him back. Aseko has developed into an important part of Hannover 96 and has attracted attention with consistently good performances

His development has also been closely monitored in Munich – and has evidently convinced those in charge

At Säbener Straße, the youngster is expected to take the next step, and internally Aseko is seen as a potential candidate to take on a role in central midfield – especially in view of possible changes to the squad

Behind established players such as Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic, he could initially establish himself as a rotation player and gradually take on more responsibility

Kompany knows the youngster

A great advantage of the 20-year-old is his flexibility. Aseko can not only be used as a classic box-to-box player, but can also help out on the right side of defense

This versatility fits perfectly into the requirements profile of Vincent Kompany, who places great value on variable players

What’s more, the Bayern coach is already convinced by Aseko: even before his loan, the midfielder trained regularly with the professionals and made a positive impression

Internally, it is even said that he would have been given his chance in the Bundesliga team earlier if it hadn’t been for injuries in the meantime

Now Noel Aseko will get his next opportunity in the summer – and could become a permanent member of FC Bayern’s professional squad.
