Blackpool have signed Doncaster left-back Reece James on a three-year deal and Manchester City goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw on a two-year contract.
James, 27, turned down a new deal with Rovers and will join the Championship newcomers as a free agent on 1 July.
The former Manchester United, Wigan and Sunderland man scored seven goals in 48 appearances for Doncaster last season.
Meanwhile, City academy graduate Grimshaw, 23, joins Blackpool with the option of a further year on his deal.
"Playing in the Championship was something that I'd set out to do following what had happened in the season, so it was a massive pull to come here," James told the club website.
Grimshaw added: "I've worked really hard in my career to get to this point, and I want to progress further here."
