Juventus have reached an agreement with Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce over the transfer of Serbia international Filip Kostic, who is set to join up with Jose Mourinho’s side on loan with an option to buy.
According to Tuttosport and TMW, Juventus had been hoping to agree a loan deal with an obligation to buy with Fenerbahce, but have settled for a non-mandatory option, which is still a positive for the club’s accounts.
Sunday’s reports confirm that Fenerbahce will cover Kostic’s wages in full. They will also have an option to buy the player permanently for a reported fee of around €5m-€6m.
The former Hamburg and Eintracht Frankfurt winger is contracted to Juventus until the summer of 2026, but could be bought outright by Fenerbahce before the end of the 2024-25 season.
The transfer window in Turkey remains open until September 13, so there is just shy of a week left for Super Lig sides to get their business done.
According to the latest updates, Kostic has already emptied his locker at Continassa and is expected to travel to Istanbul imminently.
Fenerbahce could make an official announcement on Monday.
