LA Galaxy have snapped up former Barcelona winger Cristian Tello.
Tello has signed for the remainder of the 2022 MLS season with an option to stay for two more years.
The former LaLiga player with teams such as Barcelona and Betis was confirmed this Friday as a reinforcement of the Los Angeles club and joins other figures who arrived this year as Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini.
Co-president and general manager John Thorrington mentioned in a statement that "Cristian is a dangerous attacker and a great addition to what we are building at LAFC. He has played for some of the biggest clubs in the world and has had success in high-pressure situations like the UEFA Champions League. We are excited to welcome him, his wife and family to Los Angeles as we continue to work toward the goal of winning championships."
Tello who will be Carlos Vela's new teammate arrives as a free agent and will occupy a spot on the international roster upon receiving his P1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
The 31-year-old forward spent the last five years with Betis, which he joined after playing for Barcelona, Porto, and Fiorentina, and now he is embarking on a new challenge in his career.
