Manchester City faced off against Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result in the Manchester derby. Pep Guardiola’s men made a slow start to the game but managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Bryan Mbemo scored the opening goal in the 65th minute. Man City let in another goal just 11 minutes later when Patrick Dorgu got his name on the scoresheet. The match finished with Guardiola’s players suffering a poor 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford.

Lewis came back to defend when he could and had a couple of bright moments in the final third.

Alleyne was far from convincing on the defensive end of the field but was a threat going forward.

LB: Nathan Ake – 6/10
He made two crucial clearances inside his half, but was shaky when defending at the back.
CM: Rodri – 6.5/10
Rodri anchored the midfield well and made one decent chance going forward.
RW: Antoine Semenyo – 6.5/10
He managed to shine at times on the right flank, but didn’t do enough to register a goal
CM: Phil Foden – 6.5/10
Foden was full of energy and running at the centre of the park, but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
CM: Bernardo Silva – 6/10
He worked hard but struggled to get a foothold in the game.
LW: Jeremy Doku – 6/10
Doku made two positive runs with the ball but failed to threaten the Man United goal.
ST: Erling Haaland – 6/10
He struggled to get into the flow of the game and was quiet for most of his time on the field.
