San Sebastián turned blanquiazul as Real Sociedad paraded the Copa del Rey through Donostia, thousands packing the route before a finale at Alderdi Eder.

According to Diario Vasco, the rúa left Anoeta at 18.10 on an open-top bus, 10 minutes behind schedule, in a three-vehicle convoy that included staff and head coach Rino Matarazzo. Txapeldunak adorned the bus and shirts as supporters chanted it.

The convoy took just over 15 minutes to clear Amara as supporters walked alongside. Mikel Oyarzabal and Aritz Elustondo flanked the trophy, team-mates swapping turns for photos, while Take Kubo waved a vast club flag, and Sergio and Aihen hoisted the Cup.

At Alderdi Eder, thousands watched on three giant screens as a children’s tamborrada kept spirits high. Crowds swelled through the centre, players shared smiles and cooled off with beer, cava and water, and DYA teams treated heat-related issues.

As the celebration centred on the Boulevard and Alderdi Eder, Oyarzabal raised the Cup to a chorus of Txuri Urdin. He and Jokin Aperribay then took it to the ayuntamiento, where lehendakari Imanol Pradales, Eider Mendoza and mayor Jon Insausti welcomed them, before an aurresku.

From the balcony, Oyarzabal voiced pride, recalled they could not celebrate five years ago and led a Basque count, with chants for Aitor Zabaleta. Joined by Elustondo, Barrene and Zubeldia, Matarazzo addressed fans in Basque, hoping this is only the start.
