Dorival Júnior is now the most decorated coach among the 2026 Série A managers after Corinthians won this year’s Supercopa do Brasil.
According to Meu Timao, the triumph lifts his career haul to 15 major honours, one more than Tite’s 14. If Tite’s 2009 Suruga Bank Cup with Internacional is counted, the pair are level.
Dorival’s first trophies were state titles, the 2004 Catarinense with Figueirense, the 2006 Pernambucano with Sport and the 2008 Paranaense with Coritiba.
He claimed his first national crown in 2009, winning Série B with Vasco, then in 2010 took Santos to the Paulista title and his first Copa do Brasil.
At Internacional he lifted the Recopa Sul-Americana in 2011 and the state championship in 2012. He ended a four-year drought by winning the 2016 Paulistão with Santos, then another four-year wait ended with the 2020 Paranaense at Athletico Paranaense.
His most prolific spell began in 2022 at Flamengo, where he secured the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores. Despite those wins he was dismissed in 2023 and joined São Paulo, winning a third Copa do Brasil.
Appointed Brazil head coach in early 2024, he was sacked after one year and 16 games following an underwhelming campaign, then returned in April 2025 with Corinthians. He added a fourth Copa do Brasil, beating Vasco 2-1 in the final, and later defeated Flamengo 2-0.
Among rivals, Abel Ferreira has 10 honours, Rogério Ceni has 9, and Jorge Sampaoli and Juan Carlos Osório each have 7.
