Less than a year into his Corinthians tenure, Dorival Júnior is now the fifth-longest serving coach in Brazil's Série A, a status reached after Flamengo dismissed Filipe Luís in the early hours of Tuesday.

Meu Timao reports that Dorival was appointed on 28 April 2025, giving him a little over 10 months in charge at Parque São Jorge.

Since debuting on 30 April, he has overseen 58 matches and collected 91 points, a 52% return. Corinthians have 25 wins, 16 draws and 17 defeats. The side have scored 64 goals, 1.10 per game, and conceded 50, 0.86 per match.

Only four top-flight managers have been in post longer. Abel Ferreira has led Palmeiras since October 2020, followed by Rogério Ceni at Bahia since September 2023, Gilmar Dal Pozzo at Chapecoense since August 2024 and Rafael Guanes at Mirassol since March 2025.

There have also been three other departures in 2026 before the Libertadores and Copa do Brasil group stages: Jorge Sampaoli left Atlético-MG, Fernando Diniz departed Vasco da Gama and Juan Carlos Osório exited Remo.

Vasco da Gama, Remo and Flamengo are currently without head coaches. The latest arrival among the incumbents is Eduardo Domínguez at Atlético-MG, appointed on 24 February 2026.
