Dorival Júnior said he remains calm in his role and would accept any board decision on his future. Corinthians drew 0-0 at Chapecoense on Thursday in the seventh round, extending their winless run to six.
As reported by Meu Timao, the coach insisted he is giving his best to the club and added that, if the hierarchy believe and trust the work, results could follow over the campaign.
Corinthians have not won since 19 February, when they beat Athletico-PR 1-0 through a Rodrigo Garro goal at Arena da Baixada. Since then they have four draws and two defeats, including a 2-0 loss to Coritiba at Neo Química Arena.
The sequence prompted organised fans to visit CT Dr. Joaquim Grava last week to address the squad. Supporters met some players, who acknowledged the poor spell, and also spoke with president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz. Dorival Júnior was absent, having left earlier for routine medical tests.
The run has left Corinthians ninth in the Brasileirão on nine points from seven matches. They face Flamengo on Sunday at 20:30, at Neo Química Arena, in the eighth round.
