Globo Esporte reports that Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have contacted Nottingham Forest and Vasco da Gama over left-back Cuiabano, with German scouts said to rate him the standout under-23 defender in Brazil.
The Forest defender is on loan at Vasco, where he has impressed with five goal contributions in his last four matches and has become a key figure under manager Renato Gaucho.
Vasco hold an £8.6m option to buy and are considering activating it, a move that could block any switch elsewhere in Europe given the size of the fee for Brazilian clubs.
Cuiabano is reportedly not convinced about returning to the City Ground after difficulties adapting to life in England, although he is said to be open to joining another European side.
If Vasco trigger the clause, they plan to offer the defender a contract running until December 2030.
