Dortmund considering Joane Gadou in view of a summer transfer | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly showing interest in securing the services of Joane Gadou (19), according to Sky Sport.

Under contract with Red Bull Salzburg until June 2029, the central defender who came up through Paris Saint-Germain’s youth system has established himself as a key player for the Austrian club. Having started 29 of the 31 matches he has played in all competitions since the start of the season, Gadou could soon be heading to Germany, where Borussia Dortmund are said to have expressed an interest in the Aubervilliers native.

Although no concrete discussions are known to have taken place to date, Borussia’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl was reportedly spotted in Vienna this weekend, when Salzburg travelled to face Rapid Vienna (losing 1-0).

It should be noted that this case involves an important element, namely that PSG, which sold their young protégé for €10 million, reportedly has a buy-back clause that they could decide to activate if necessary.
