Borussia Dortmund said this evening that Atalanta have relaxed their strict plans for next week's Champions League play-off second leg in Bergamo, allowing legally ticketed away fans to attend.

Following confirmation from local authorities, all Dortmund supporters who purchased valid tickets will be admitted to the stadium.

Atalanta had previously indicated they would only accept BVB fans resident in Germany, citing safety regulations. Dortmund believed the stance effectively discriminated against their wider fanbase.

With that policy dropped, the Bundesliga club welcomed the decision and said travelling supporters can visit the stadium as usual.

Relations have been strained, and a 2024 transfer between the clubs sparked anger from Atalanta’s president earlier this week.
