Borussia Dortmund have apparently set their sights on one of México's World Cup stars, writes Lothar Matthäus in his the BILD column.
The "Lothar Takes Off" format, reports on the Westphalians' apparent interest in talented offensive midfielder Gilberto Mora.
"Mora, the 17-year-old Mexican, has played four games at this World Cup. At 17, this huge talent is already on the radar of many European clubs.
"I've also heard that Borussia Dortmund have made some inquiries," Matthäus revealed in his detailed piece.
Mora, who can play both as a number 10 and on the left wing, currently plays for Club Tijuana and is under contract there until 2029.
As part of the contract extension, the club announced that the deal includes a special release clause enabling him to move to Europe.
Whether Dortmund will translate their interest into a concrete move remains to be seen after Mora's impressive displays at the World Cup.
