With Adeyemi increasingly likely to depart, the club are searching for a replacement.

The 24-year-old is under contract at Feyenoord until 2030, and any move would require a fee well over €30 million.

RC Strasbourg’s Diego Moreira, the 21-year-old Belgium international, is seen as an alternative, though he would likely cost around €43 million.

Moussa scored 14 goals and supplied seven assists for Feyenoord last season, and he is part of Algeria’s World Cup squad.
