Bolton Wanderers will be seeking to progress in the FA Cup tonight as they make the short trip to Edgeley Park to take on Stockport County in their first round replay.

The two sides played out a thoroughly entertaining 2-2 draw last time out at the University of Bolton Stadium and it is sure to be an intriguing tie this evening as they lock horns once more.

Ian Evatt will be all too aware that Stockport will be gunning for an upset against his side and will be hopeful that his squad can stand up to the challenge after slightly wilting in the first game.

With the fixtures starting to pile up around this time of year, the Trotters will certainly have to take a few things into consideration before selecting their team for tonight’s game.

Quiz: Have Bolton Wanderers ever won an away game at each of these 20 stadiums?

Here, we take you through our predicted Bolton Wanderers starting eleven for their game against Stockport County.

Joel Dixon will once again continue between the sticks for this game, with veteran Matt Gilks on the bench as back up.

In defence, Declan John and Lloyd Isgrove will continue as the full backs, with the latter having filled in well as a makeshift option recently.

Whilst Will Aimson and Ricardo Santos will maintain their central defensive partnership at the heart of the backline.

In midfield, Josh Sheehan and MJ Williams will be looking to dominate possession in the centre of the park against a Stockport side who also like to enjoy long periods on the ball.

Kieran Lee will line up in a more advanced role to begin with but should drop deeper later on in the game to form a midfield three.

With regards to the flanks, both Elis Kachunga and Oladapo Afolayan will pose most of the threat to the opposition backline, with their pace and trickery sure to create openings.

Meanwhile Eoin Doyle should come in up front providing that he passes a late fitness check after missing the recent 2-0 league win over Crewe Alexandra with a calf problem.
