Tony Docherty won a penalty after Liam Morrison's foul. VAR confirmed the spot kick. Morrison was sent off (39.). Simon Murray converted (40.).

Joel Cotterill then struck in the first minute of first half stoppage time to turn the game.

After the restart, Nisbet levelled with a free-kick (68.). Ethan Hamilton rifled the winner from outside the box (84.), from Docherty's pass.

Dundee registered 23 attempts and nine corners as they pressed the advantage.
