Before the break, Jon McCracken kept Dundee level with a string of saves, twice denying Fatah and blocking Vicko Sevelj from close range. United pressed with purpose but found the goalkeeper in assured form.

After Steven Pressley turned to his bench, substitute Ashley Hay pulled one back in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time, turning in following a corner. Moments later, Ross Graham diverted into his own net in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time to complete the comeback.

United registered 20 attempts, hitting the target 10 times. Dundee managed six attempts and worked Ashley Maynard-Brewer once.

Next, Dundee visit Hearts. United host Celtic.
