The official Scottish Premiership team of the season has been released and two Dutch players have made the final eleven. Aberdeen goalkeeper Kelle Roos and Motherwell striker Kevin van Veen are included in the squad that, unsurprisingly, is dominated by Celtic players.
Kelle Roos moved to England from NEC Nijmegen in 2013. The 31-year-old Dutch shot stopper experienced spells with the likes of Rotherham United, AFC Wimbledon, Bristol Rovers and Derby County. Last summer he joined Aberdeen where he made 31 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season. He made a total of 105 saves within those matches and kept 13 clean sheets. Only Celtic’s Joe Hart has kept more this campaign.
Motherwell’s Dutch striker Kevin van Veen earned a spot in the attack of the team of the season. The 32–year-old scored 25 goals in 36 appearances as Motherwell finished the campaign in seventh place. Van Veen fell two goals short of Celtic’s Kyogo Furuhashi for the Scottish Premiership top scorer title.
