Dutch international Lynn Wilms joins Villa

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Dutch defender Lynn Wilms from Wolfsburg.

Wilms becomes Villa' s first signing of the summer window and will strengthen the defence of Natalia Arroyo's side for the 2025/26 campaign.

The centre-back began her career in the Netherlands with FC Twente before moving to Germany to join Wolfsburg. During her time with the German side, Wilms made over 100 appearances and had an impressive 2024/25 campaign, scoring six goals and assisting eight from defence in just 31 games.

Wilms is currently with the Netherlands squad at Euro 2025 in Switzerland and could feature against England on Wednesday after coming off the bench in the 3-0 win over Wales at the weekend.
