Paulo Dybala’s time at Roma has been a wonderful one, with the event held at the Colosseum Quadratum to welcome him and the goals, some of them very important, he gifted to the fans.
However, like all fairy tales, it has an end, and it seems this could be his last season in the Giallorossi.
The renewal issue remains unresolved, and there are currently no meetings scheduled between the club and his team.
In a video posted on Augustin Creevy’s YouTube channel, the number 21 opened up about his career, discussing current sensation Donyell Malen, Gian Piero Gasperini, and more.
Regarding his connection with the Dutchman, Dybala said: “I played my first match with Malen: he’s very quick, unpredictable, and has a good level. He scores a lot and will obviously go to the World Cup.”
The Argentine then spoke about his roots: “My father took me to the Instituto de Córdoba. I played twice a week and on weekends, one match. Then the coach told my father, ‘Paulo is for something more, he deserves more.’ So my father took me away. At Córdoba, I started playing against River Plate and Boca Juniors and started traveling a lot.”
Regarding his career in Italy, Dybala said: “I was close to leaving Juve with a very important offer, but I preferred to stay. I’m happy in Rome; the team is strong, and the fans, besides being incredibly passionate, are incredible. And Totti in Rome is a king; people go crazy for him.”
The number 21 also spoke about Gasperini: “We train a lot with him, he’s very demanding. Training sessions are tough, but I like to train a lot, because football today is very physical.”
