There are encouraging signs regarding Paulo Dybala’s contract renewal. The Argentine would like to stay in the capital for at least another season, and Ryan Friedkin, who arrived in Rome yesterday, has reportedly shown significant signs of openness.

According to today’s edition of Il Messaggero, yesterday’s discussions between the player’s agent, Carlos Novel, and Frederic Massara have brought the parties closer together.

A deal seems imminent, and the final agreement could include a one-year contract with an option for a two-year contract, with a fixed base salary of €2 million and a variable component that will depend on the Laguna Larga talent’s appearances and performance.

Adidas is also pushing for a renewal, a point the Giallorossi coach agrees with, considering the important centenary year, where key players will also be key.

The final decision will be made shortly, and no summer drama is expected.

Once the crucial derby against Lazio on Sunday at 12:00 PM is over, the situation could quickly change one way or the other.

One of the factors that could lead to a successful deal is certainly the influence of Gian Piero Gasperini, who has repeatedly emphasized Dybala’s importance to Roma and would be delighted to have the former Juventus player in the dressing room at least for next season.
