Paulo Dybala is ready to return to Roma’s disposal.

After a recovery period that required attention and caution, the Argentine striker received reassuring results from three MRI scans, the latest of which was conducted in England: all tests were negative.

Having overcome the discomfort in his post-surgery scar, the former Juventus player has intensified his individual training at the Fulvio Bernardini sports center in recent days.

The goal is clear: to be ready for the opening match against Bologna, scheduled for the first matchday of Serie A.

Dybala is expected to return to training with the group as early as today, writes Jacopo Aliprandi in Il Corriere dello Sport, under the watchful eye of Gian Piero Gasperini, who is waiting to gradually integrate him into the team’s offensive schemes.

The coaching staff has developed a specific program, with progressive loads and a focus on match rhythm, to get him in top physical condition by August 23, the day of his first competitive match at the Olimpico.

Alongside his return to the pitch, another important matter is underway: his contract renewal.

Yesterday, Dybala met with his agent, Carlos Novel, to discuss his future. A contract extension is a priority for the Argentine, who is determined to remain with Roma for the coming years.

Initial discussions have already begun with the club, which in turn considers the number 21 a key element for the three-year contract just begun. The parties will meet again in the fall to get to the heart of the negotiations, but the basic understanding—in terms of shared will—appears solid.
