Paulo Dybala’s future remains a hot topic at Roma, but optimism is filtering through at Trigoria regarding the Argentine’s permanence.
La Joya’s contract expires at midnight tonight, but the situation isn’t causing concern for the Giallorossi.
Negotiations for his contract renewal have merely been postponed in recent weeks, partly to allow the club to focus first on the capital gains issue.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sporting Director Tony D’Amico has remained in constant contact with the player’s entourage, working to bring the deal closer.
Dybala’s signature is also a specific request from Gian Piero Gasperini, who considers the Argentine an important element in Roma’s new technical project.
In recent days, Dybala had presented a counter-proposal to the club’s initial offer: a two-year contract worth €3 million net per season, with bonuses tied to appearances and performances that could allow him to earn up to €4 million.
This solution would allow Roma to halve La Joya’s current salary while still retaining one of their most talented players.
Meanwhile, Boca Juniors’ latest attempt has reportedly been unsuccessful. Dybala remains oriented toward staying in the capital, and the signing of a new contract with Roma appears increasingly close.
