West Bromwich Albion drew 1-1 with Charlton Athletic at the Hawthorns on Tuesday night, a result that keeps the hosts 21st in the Championship while the visitors remain 17th.

Early on, Thomas Kaminski tipped away a close-range header from George Campbell and Max O'Leary pushed aside a drive by Sonny Carey as both sides traded efforts.

In the third minute of first half stoppage time, George Campbell glanced in from Alex Mowatt's corner to put West Bromwich Albion ahead.

After the restart, Kayne Ramsay slipped Lyndon Dykes through and the forward slotted home the equaliser (70.).

Late substitutions lifted the hosts' threat, with Aune Heggebo and Jed Wallace combining to force blocks and Michael Johnston shooting narrowly wide in the closing stages.

Lloyd Jones departed injured before the interval, with Collins Sichenje introduced for Charlton Athletic.

West Bromwich Albion finished with 18 attempts and 59.2% possession. Charlton Athletic registered three attempts and did not win a corner.
