Gonzalo Plata has failed a medical with Dynamo Moscow and is returning to Flamengo, with the move ending before any contract was signed.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the Russian club cited a patellar tendon tendinopathy, so their medical department opted to fail the winger in routine checks, halting the deal.
Flamengo insist Plata never reported pain in the patellar tendon and that he had no injury before travelling to Russia. The club views the episode as a divergence between separate medical assessments.
He is expected back in Rio de Janeiro on Friday, when the coaching and medical staff plan early evaluations to gauge his condition after the Moscow setback.
Following those tests, Flamengo will decide whether to include him for the meeting with Remo, so his involvement remains uncertain. Even if he does not feature in that match, the tendency is that he will be available to Leonardo Jardim for the Libertadores tie with Independente del Valle.
Flamengo face Remo on Sunday in the Brasileirão, with kick-off at 16:00 Brasília time at Estádio Mangueirão.
